Schedule
We exchange our vows and tie the knot amidst the beautiful church "Teiul Doamnei Ghika".
For everyone that wishes to capture this moment to us around the lake.
We invite you to celebrate our love and joy through food, music and dance at "Ghica-Tei" Palace.
All 3 venues are located next to each other.
You’re not necessarily expected to be present at the church ceremony or pictures, but it is always appreciated if you do show up.
You should arrive at the church at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. We will enter together as a group and once the doors are closed, you won't be allowed inside anymore.
If you are attending the ceremony and/or pictures, you'll get to the venue directly from there.
If you wish to come directly to the venue, anywhere between 18 and 19 it's a good time to arrive.
Please join us in your best (formal) attire that reflects the elegance and joy of the occasion. Feel free to add a touch of violet, dark pink or a little Bridgerton style to honour our wedding theme.
The bride's dress will be white, so this is the only colour you should avoid.
The Romanian wedding combines a long dinner service with music and dance. Prepare to eat A LOT and drink even more. The menu includes 4 courses, starting with the appetizers soon after the arrival at the venue, and continue with fish, traditional "sarma" and grill served every 1h30-2h. Just don't forget to save a little space for the cake, around midnight.
P.S. Any allergies/intolerances must be shared with us in the RSVP form.
Yes, it's OPEN BAR for everyone. This includes: water, coffee, tea, soft drinks, wine, beer, long drinks and Aperol Spritz.
The party lasts from 6 in the afternoon until after the cake is served, around 1 AM, when most of the people leave. The afterparty will continue until 3-4 AM with just drinks and a few snacks.
In between courses, expect to dance a lot. The music will be extremely varied, with a lot of international styles and some traditional Romanian and Balkan songs.
P.S. Bring an extra pair of shoes for when you inevitably cannot walk anymore in the pretty ones.
We are happy to have you there, so don't fell obliged to bring anything.
If you feel comfortable bringing something to the newlyweds, though, the Romanian tradition is to give money, rather than an actual gift.
Before leaving the party, you can put the cash envelope in the special box, located near the newlyweds’ table. You should write your name on the envelope and if you feel like it, add a message from the heart.
